Peter makes his way down to the creek, walking towards a large rock he'd sit on to think occasionally. He had his brush, paints and canvas with him, since he was planning to paint the perfect landscape painting. Perfect. It was an impossible word. Nothing was perfect. Especially not Peter. He knew he wasn't perfect. He never would be. But that creek was the closest thing to perfect. And at the right hour in the right season, had the most amazing most perfect lighting Peter had ever seen. Never had he wanted to paint something more than that. No amount of money could have made him more enthusiastic about anything else. And if he were being paid to paint the creek, well that would have been even better.

"Just don't accuse me of drowning animals." said Autumn, running her delicate, slender fingers along the jagged edge of a rock.

"The creek." Peter replies, dabbing the tip of his paintbrush into the paint, then gently stroking the canvas, slowly filling the sky with colour. Such a landscape would be difficult to paint, for sundown could be upon them very quickly. It didn't take him long to finish the details of the sky, shading the clouds and such. He soon turned his attention to the stones, first painting gray, then filling in details with a darker gray after the lighter shade had dried. And with the cool breeze blowing through, it didn't take the paint long to dry on the canvas.

*sits down and watches Peter paint* Do you only paint landscapes? I mean don't they get boring...*rambles on about stuff hopefully not annoying the artist with her banter(sp?)*

"No, no. I love the shape and colours in a face. Portraits are my forte, you could say." He replies softly, not minding having company as he painted. It was nice for a change, he was so used to being alone, and now had a lovely woman sitting beside him to chat with.

Ever painted yourself? I mean that's be pretty hard, you hate to make youself to good looking because then people think you think your so much better than them and if you make it bad they think you dont appreciate yourself...maybe that the wrong word...

"I have tried once." Peter replies, bending over to dip his brush into the water to clean the paint off. Dipping it into another colour, he starts to paint the trees and leaves on the ground. "It is difficult, as you said. I find it much nicer to capture the beauty of others."

(Heehee.) Autumn walked over and sat on the edge of a stone behind them. "That is pretty." she breathed, playing with a ring and a needle as the colors splashed onto the paper in a pigmented mirror of unreality.

(( This is amusing. I'm the worst painter in the world and I'm RPing a guy who's an amazing painter... P: Oh well. -continues the painting she's working on- >> ))
Peter dips his brush in the water again, then flicks it to get the water off, making sure none of the flicked water gets on his painting. He'd leave it to dry for a while, then add some more details. He didn't say anything, he just pulled his legs up to cross them and look at his painting, looking for major errors or details he missed.
